Panama City Beach Oil Update
Panama City Beach Oil Update: With the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico there is concern that the white beaches in Panama City Beach will be covered in oil. It appears that will not be the case. As of today the beaches in Panama City Beach are open and unaffected by the oil spill in the Gulf. If you are looking for a last minute vacation to PCB there has not been a better time to hit the beach than now. The beaches are open and because of the negative media Panama City Beach Hotels have dropped their rates to an all time summer low. There does not appear to be any serious threat to the beaches for the time being. As it progresses there is a chance that small tar balls may appear. If this does happen it is no real cause for concern. Tar balls are not dangerous and have no odor. You should be more concerned about stepping on a jelly fish or sharp rock than encountering a tar ball. If you have always wanted to stay in a Beachfront Hotel in Panama City Beach for an affordable rate consider a vacation to Panama City Beach. If the thought of oil is too much then consider visiting Jacksonville Beach. For more information and updates on oil in Panama City Beach be sure to check back often.
